Any use of this website or its contents, other than for your own personal, non commercial use is prohibited without Maxwell Scott’s permission. By reading these terms and conditions and purchasing from Maxwell Scott you thereby agree to the guidelines below.     • Placing an order

    Orders can be placed both online and on the phone. By placing an order you agree that your address, name and card details are your own. Maxwell Scott has the right to refuse or cancel any order by our own discretion as well as the right to ask for proof of identity when need be. When ordering you thereby authorise us to perform credit checks, validate your identity and agree that we may use personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti fraud checks.

    • Amending your order

    You can amend your order right up until you click submit your order on the payment page. You are unable to amend your order after this has gone through. To correct this you must cancel your order and make a new one with the correct details. For more information or advice on how to amend your order please call 0870 2424684.

    • Stock availability

    All products are subject to availability. We will contact you as soon as possible if an item purchased is currently unavailable and will offer you the choice of waiting, cancelling or changing your order.

    • Delivery

    We deliver to the UK, Europe and most countries Worldwide. Any countries not listed on the drop down menu when placing an order we do not currently ship to. We offer a free next day delivery to all UK addresses if you place your order before 12pm and if your order is over £100. We also offer a next day service in the UK for smaller accessories (under £100) for an extra £3.95. Saturday delivery is also available in the UK for smaller accessories (under £100) for an extra £8.95.
    Europe and worldwide shipping costs vary on the size and weight of the product you have ordered. If you are based outside the UK you should recieve your order within 10 working days dependant on worldwide location. Read more about our delivery options and costs. You will receive an email once your item has been shipped with information on how to track your parcel. Please note after you receive this email you are not able to change your delivery address. We use a signed for service and therefore you are responsible for making arrangements to receive the goods. Delivery can take place any time from 9am-6pm. It is up to the courier as to when they will deliver your goods, therefore we cannot guarantee a specific time as to when you will receive your parcel. Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address within this time period or leave precise, detailed instructions when placing an order.

    • Delays

    Occasionally your goods may be subject to delay. As some things are out of our control such as adverse weather, customs and strikes, we therefore do not take responsibility for such delays, however we make it our duty to contact you as soon as we are made aware of this. All our products are handmade in Italy. This means when an item is out of stock it can take anything up to 28 days to be made and delivered to us. We do our very best to keep in contact with our factory in Italy and will get in touch with you as soon as possible to advise when you can expect your goods. We understand that delays may be frustrating and we make it our responsibility to keep you updated on your order. This includes giving you the choice of waiting, ordering an alternative item or cancelling.

    • Payment

    Payments are processed in GBP. The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate. We accept most major credit cards including Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Delta, JCB, Maestro and American Express. Please note that due to a security protocol with American Express we can only ship to your billing address. We do not accept Diners club.

    • Pricing

    All prices include VAT and are subject to alteration. If your item is being shipped out of the EU we will deduct the VAT at the checkout, however Maxwell Scott cannot be held responsible for any charges that may occur outside of the EU such as import duty or customs tax. As the recipient it is your duty to pay these charges.

    • Account Security

    We do not share any of your card details or personal information with any third parties. Your card details are processed through a secure system which means we do not store them on our website and cannot access them personally. It is your responsibility for keeping your password and account details confidential and secure. If you believe your password or account details has become known by another individual, or is likely to be then you should contact us immediately. Maxwell Scott cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may arise through fault of your own to protect your account details.

    • Colours

    We have made every effort to ensure all our colours are displayed as accurately as possible, however as our products are natural the colours in the leather may vary slightly depending on the batch. We cannot guarantee the colour of the product is exactly as shown on the website, just as we cannot match items that are not from the same batch of leather. However, if you want your items to go with a previously bought item we will try our best to get as close as a match as possible. As computer monitors vary, we also cannot guarantee your monitor will display the colour in the right tone as intended by us.

    • Your Right to Cancel

    You have the right to cancel the purchase of a good without having to give a reason at any time within the “cooling off period” of seven working days, beginning on the day after you receive the goods.
    You must notify us of your cancellation in writing or in another durable medium to our contact address.
    If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must send the goods back to us in their original condition to our contact address at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract.
    We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense. [or] We will collect the goods from you. You must make the goods available for collection. For further arrangements will contact you. Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your cancellation.
    You will not have any right to cancel a purchase for the supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

    • Return and Exchanges Policy

    We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. We can only refund your item if it is returned to us in within the time period. Refunds will take place within 14 days of us receiving your item and should be returned to us at the following address and clearly marked as ‘returns’.

    Please note returns should be adequately packed. We cannot be held responsible to any damage the item may occur due to insufficient packaging, and we are also not liable for any damage to the item from tears, abrasions or general misuse when in your hands. In these cases we will not be able to issue a refund. Exchanges are subject to product availability. Please call customer services on 08702424684 to arrange an exchange. Read our returns and exchanges policy. Please note: Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights to cancel.

    • 25 Year Guarantee

    We offer a 25 year guarantee for the natural life of every product and each item should last considerably longer than high street equivalents. It is our responsibility to repair any manufacturing faults on zips, clasps, stitching and so on, but we are not liable for any damage caused to an item by personal misuse.

    • Privacy

    We commit ourselves to protecting and respecting your privacy when visiting our website. Please read our Privacy Policy that demonstrates how we will process and use any personal data that you provide to us or that we may collect. Occasionally we run competitions on our website. We do not accept any bulk or automated entries and therefore any of these will be disqualified. We only accept one entry per household. Any information given will not be passed on to any third parties but may be stored in our database. Please note you must be 18 years old to enter our competitions. All prizes are subject to change and we reserve the right to exchange them for an item of different colour, size or of smaller or greater value. Prizes may not be exchanged for another product or cash value.
