The Duke & Duchess of Sussex

En route to their evening reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House, the newly appointed Duke & Duchess of Sussex chose a vintage Jaguar E type as their transport to the regal mansion. For the black tie event, the royal pair opted for minimal elegance by championing a classic and traditional black and white colour palette. Meghan’s white halterneck gown by Stella McCartney epitomised her refined and timeless style and impeccably honoured the fashionable motto that less truly is more. Her Aquazurra satin heels flashed sky blue soles as she walked – a subtle nod to ‘something blue’ and perfectly matching the diamond blue Jaguar as well as Princess Diana’s aquamarine emerald ring on her finger, gifted to her by Prince Harry for the occasion. Harry’s evening look was quintessential for a black tie bash with a silk lapel jacket and a black bow tie.

David & Victoria Beckham

Known as the nation’s best dressed couple, Mr & Mrs Beckham arrived rather early at St George’s Chapel on the morning of the wedding. Perfectly poised and at ease with each other, the couple held hands as they sauntered into the chapel side by side. Victoria’s navy cape dress, cut elegantly above the ankle, felt incredibly demure and tasteful teamed with a coral-hued court heel and a netted headpiece. David’s look fused modernity with traditionalism, opting for a Dior navy tail jacket contrasted with a light grey double breasted waistcoat and fashioned with a gold pocket watch. His immaculately tapered trouser ensured that his three-piece suit exuded a contemporary style. Props to the golden couple and their impeccable sartorial choices.

The sun was beaming in Windsor for the Duke and Duchess’ wedding at the weekend. Amal Clooney brought even more sunshine to the occasion in a vivid yellow Stella McCartney dress with an asymmetric matching headpiece by Stephen Jones. She finished off the bold and bright look with a pair of metallic gold court heels and box clutch and left her hair to fall in a tumble of subtle waves. Ever the gentleman, Mr Clooney complemented his lawyer wife’s look with a light grey two-piece suit and a lemon yellow silk tie and pocket square. According to sources, his dapper look also earned him a dance with the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge during the evening party at Frogmore House.

James & Sofia Blunt

A longtime friend of Prince Harry’s, James Blunt made the wedding ceremony guest list accompanied by his wife Sofia. She donned a beautiful embroidered dress by RED Valentino with a penny collar neckline that oozed a prim yet stylish aesthetic. The floral frock was paired with a neutral cream headpiece and heels to maintain an air of sophistication – English country chic at its finest. Mr Blunt opted for an incredibly formal look with a tailcoat jacket and powder blue silk waistcoat – exerting himself as an experienced royal peer with an acute knowledge on how to blend in with the British regal crowd.

Marcus Mumford & Carey Mulligan

Only at a royal wedding would you observe a British rock star donning a tailcoat jacket and pinstripe trousers. Mumford and Sons frontman, Marcus Mumford, and his Hollywood actress wife Carey Mulligan arrived at St George’s chapel with an air of cool surrounding their sharp looks. Mulligan’s ensemble oozed spring wedding sophistication in a floral Erdem frock. Embellished with dainty English flowers in lemon yellow and vivid orange, her dress was quintessentially British with a touch of modernity. Mr Mumford complemented her traditional ensemble with navy and grey tailoring kept pristine by a white pocket square and black leather Derby shoes, perfectly shining in the May sunshine.
