    5 Personalised Oyster Card!
    I bought this oyster card holder for my bus pass I decided to have it personalised with my name embossed in copper on the full-grain tan leather if you decide to have it personalised you get the first six letters in the price of the personalised oyster cardholder any extra letters you will have to pay a pound extra for each letter. It is not the cheapest oyster card holder but you are paying for quality. Maxwell-Scott also gives you a 25-year warranty against any manufacturing faults highly recommended and will use this seller again when I need a new wallet. Excellent Customer Service.
    5 Looks and feels good. But can't say about the leather quality.
    I have been carrying my ID, and a couple of essential cards in this cardholder. It looks and feels robust, but the quality of leather could not be properly assessed. When a high quality (full-grain) leather is used, the underside of the leather is usually exposed, which serves as a tool to check by customers. Even the inner sleeves are made of bonding (cementing/glueing) two thin leather sheets together so that the underside of the grain is nowhere to be seen. This makes it look professional, but over time, the sheets tend to separate, making it look cheaper and messy. Another drawback is that the plastic sheet used to display the ID is of very cheap quality. I have seen better plastic or mesh in cheaper ID holders; this could be improved. Nevertheless, it smells exactly like one of my leather briefcases purchased in Florence, Italy; which might speak of its quality. Verdict: For this price, I would expect to see the inside of the grain and not prefer to have too much bonded (cemented) leather.
    5 Expensive, but quality item
    I was in the market for a Leather Oyster cardholder, however on reading the reviews on virtually each and everyone I soon came to the conclusion that a vast number of cardholders were of pretty piss poor quality. So I decided on one which wasn't cheap and within an hour the mesh which held my card was ripped. Talk about guttered. Having learnt my lesson the hard way, I fell upon my second option which at the time was far too expensive. It arrived today, and boy did I make a huge mistake in not purchasing this first. It simply is in another class of quality. and there is no doubt that this one will last. (Well for a start they haven't bothered with mesh) It arrived in a gold plastic jiffy bag recorded delivery. On opening the bag, the holder was expertly wrapped in Maxwell Scott headed wrapping paper (So if you are buying this as a present, they save you all the work) On opening that you find a stout black cardboard box, where inside wrapped again in wrapping paper is the most luxurious leather cardholder you will find. It really does extrude quality. The pictures just do not do it justice. Me, I am happy as Larry. My third Maxwell Scott purchase and I am pretty sure it won't be my last.

    Can I send my gift directly to the recipient’s address?

    Yes - there are no receipts to remove as we are now paperless, ensuring your gifting experience remains special. If you’ve chosen our gift-wrapping service, we can also personalise the notecard for you. Please enter your personal message in the box on the product page when selecting gift wrap as an option and we will hand write your message with care.

    N.B. Please note that if payment is made with an American Express Card, the delivery can only be made to the billing address for the card. This is required of us by American Express.

    Can my loved one exchange their gift for another colour or style?

    We’re sure they’ll love it, however just to offer you that peace of mind, we gladly accept exchanges and returns within 60 days of receipt of goods. This excludes personalised items that cannot be returned.

    How soon can my order be delivered?

    Standard Delivery (3-5 Working Days) is free or Next Working Day Delivery is available at a small cost for UK orders. For US orders, Standard Delivery is free or Express Delivery is available at a small cost. For AUS orders, there is only the option of Express Delivery, which is free. Kindly note that personalised gifts will take 24-48 hours longer to process and be delivered, even if the Next Working Day or Express Delivery is selected. Personalised orders will be sent on the selected delivery service once the personalisation has been applied to the product.

    We pay attention to every detail, ensuring that all of our products are carefully wrapped and attentively presented as standard, with our Maxwell-Scott monogrammed tissue paper and emblem sticker. To add an extra special touch, we offer a gift wrapping service to professionally wrap your gifts with luxury, environmentally friendly materials. This additional service can be applied to your order for £12.00. Smaller goods will be showcased in a luxury presentation box wrapped in bespoke matte-finish navy paper, ribbon and gift card. Larger goods will be showcased in a luxury presentation box, finished with ribbon and a gift card. Our premium quality gift wrap is made using 70% recycled materials, FSC certified paper and is fully biodegradable and compostable.

    Positioning

    The placement of the lettering is unique to each product, our professional in-house embossing team uses their skill and experience to determine the very best placement according to the product. You’ll be able to find an example of the lettering positioning within the imagery on each product page.

    Additionally, if you have any further questions regarding the positioning of the letters or how many letters will fit on a specific product please contact us via the Contact Us page.

    Pricing

    The price for embossing is a £15 flat fee for up to 6 characters. If you require specialised personalisation with more than 6 characters or complex positioning, we can arrange this as a bespoke option with additional costs incurred.     Please note that our Croco leather cannot be embossed due to the textured finish of the leather.

    Ordering & Delivering

    Due to the bespoke nature of our premium in-house embossing process, please allow an additional 48h for personalised items, particularly during busy periods. Where possible, we will endeavour to send out your items within the first 24 hours. Please note that unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on items that have been personalised as they have been uniquely crafted to meet your specifications. If you’re unsure, we’re more than happy for you to purchase an item and return it to us to be embossed, once you are pleased with your purchase.
