Seahorse Pink Earrings by Sharra Pagano

Sharra Pagano

Sharra Pagano is the identity of founders Ray Lino and Gianfranco Lords which identifies with women who are able to build their own original style. It was founded in the late 1960s in Milan in conjunction with the blossoming ready-to-wear fashion industry in Italy. As such, the DNA of Sharra Pagano is intertwined with the Italian and the international fashion world. Each piece is entirely handmade in order to uphold the Italian tradition of distinct craftsmanship. With this, there is an inevitable sense of elegance to Sharra Pagano. The theatre is a welcomed home for the brand, having had created prestigious and opulent parure, as well as memorable and precious tiaras, for famous sopranos Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi. In this way, Sharra Pagano provides a passion for glamorous beauty. This subtle sophistication is evident in these seahorse pink earrings. They feature a faceted hexagonal resin bead in warm coral-pink hue that complements the gold-plated brass beads. Overall, then, these earrings add a striking dash of colour to any attire. This is the Sharra Pagano sense of elegance.

Boule Pendant Gold Earrings by Noshi

Noshi

Noshi is a brand based on jewellery designer Elisabetta Colelli’s joint passions of travel and art. Born in 1971 in Apulia, it wasn’t until 2015 that Elisabetta took her first steps with Noshi into a outstanding jewellery collection. The name Noshi is an ancient type of Japanese origami that embodies the elegant femininity, dynamic sophistication, and eclectic allure of the brand. It is this subtle elegance that has come to embody Elisabetta’s work. Her fundamental and stylistic references are the studies of Ettore Sottsass, Carlo Scarpa, the poetic art of Fausto Melotti combined with the modernism of the Bauhaus. Thus there is a complexity of construction in bronze, silver, and brass within this simplicity that emphasises her craftsmanship. There is a simple modernity to these boule pendant gold earrings for example. Both are handcrafted, with their geometric silhouette inspired by the sculptural elegance of architectural structures with a central sphere hanging within a triangle-shaped support. In the very best way, they remain sophisticated with a bold look. It is the perfect illustration of the Noshi aesthetic with organic and fluid charm.

Small Round Sound Ring by Fabio Cammarata

Fabio Cammarata

Fabio Cammarta is a stunning jewellery designer from Lombardy, Italy. Born in Caltanissetta, jewellery craftsmanship is inevitably in his blood as he was born into a family of goldsmiths for generations. In 1989 he moved to Milan before devoting himself fully to jewellery creation five years later, after having collaborated with some of the most prestigious names in Italian fashion including Gianfranco Ferrè and Diego Della Valle. His atelier-laboratory is now located in the Brianza countryside where he dedicates his time to jewellery made exclusively for his clients and collaborations with some of the great maisons for which he designs jewellery and accessories. The beauty of his jewellery is his clear love of objects along with a transgressive sensibility which leads to his experimental pieces that centre around distancing metals from their static nature. In this way he is able to embrace three dimensional volumes and architectures, such as with this small sound round ring which features delicate floral charms that move freely with the movements of the body. This simplicity is the epitome of Fabio Cammarata’s striking craftsmanship.

Rolling In Roses Zena Dress

In order to re-imagine the opulence of the 1920s for the modern era, Rolling In Roses seemed the obvious choice of dresses that both exude elegance and possess a modern comfort. Each gown is individually made to order using eco-friendly fabrics and traditional couture techniques by a small team of talented seamstresses not far from our own headquarters in the heart of York. Their workmanship is simply undeniable. The process, after all, includes delicate hand-finished details such as rolled hems, hand-stitched edgings and beautiful blanket-stitched hook and loop closures.

Each dress is then finished with a breathable silk/bamboo blend lining or a vegan alternative to silk which is made from orange-fibre. This small-scale ethical production means that individualism is championed whilst limiting waste. In fact, all fabric off-cuts are recycled before the gown is packaged in biodegradable bags, recycled acid-free tissue paper, and unbleached cardboard boxes. This way, the flagship boutique Glory Days, which was founded by dressmaker, costume designer and vintage devotee Hayley Claire Neil, aims to produce as ethically as possible.

The Perano Chain Crossbody in Matte Wine & The Pianillo Soft Grain Suit Jacket Wallet

The same can be said when it comes to our leather as we aim to conserve the traditional art of vegetable-tanned leather. Using the finest full grain cowhides, sourced from the Santa Croce sull’Arno region of Tuscany, this process can take up to 40 days. As such, it is still a way of life for many in Tuscany. Importantly, as members of The Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium, this way of tanning leather is highly regulated. Associated with 20 tanneries in Tuscany, the Consortium celebrates how vegetable-tanned leather absorbs the traces of our life. It protects trademarked vegetable-tanned leather from containing any toxic substances (such as azo-dyes, nickel, Pentachlorophenol (PCP) or chrome VI) and instead uses environmentally-friendly natural tannins. This includes the bark extracts from chestnut, quebracho and mimosa trees which create rich, warm leathers. This leather is then handcrafted by our skilled artisans into pieces that will be treasured for a lifetime, complementing the leather and craftsmanship with quality finishes.

Our artisans truly are the foundation to Maxwell-Scott and will always ensure that your Christmas gifts will be treasured for many more years to come.
