Stella McCartney AW16: Collection Review
March 7, 2016 11:15 am 2 CommentsDiscover the emerging trends from Stella McCartney’s latest catwalk spectacle at Paris Fashion Week AW16…
An array of copper, rose gold and coral metallics were seen on dainty cocktail numbers – slinky in shape and pleated in detail with a wide v-neck that just sat on the shoulders.
Puffa jackets got a revamp with the addition of velvet and structured shapes, teamed with luxe fabrics such as silk pleated skirts and quilted leather.
Stella injected a girly vibe into the mix with frilled details around the neckline, fused with a high roll neck collar and fluted cuffs and hems on knitwear.
Denim additions were treated with acid washes – a 90s influence for sure. It was also seen on a puffa jacket, beautifully composed with the collection’s copper palette.
Monochrome and minimal influences were given maximum style. Oversized coats with exaggerated, fur lined pockets, overly long sleeves and wide cuffs brought impact to minimalism.
